I am commenting on Rodeway Inn in harbor blvd not Maingate Inn as my booking was accepted online as 'overbooked'. When we 1st came to the Rodeway Harbor blvd, the hotel manager Stacy was on duty and she was gracious enough to apologize about the overbooking and gave us a room for the night. we asked for an extension for another day and later txf'd us to another room which was little better than the 1st room at least in terms of smell. the first room smelled too much 'lived in' and old. anyway, we just needed the hotel for 'sleeping for the night' as our trip was to see disneyland. One thing good was the location, Disneyland was just a few blocks away.
THe location, close to Disneyland, was wonderful and just what I wanted
Convenient Location, free parking (where most other hotels charge for parking in the area).
The best part was coming back from Disneyland to the hotel. The hotel staff gave us a shortcut which we could only use for return. We cud return from the Park in 3 minutes flat as soon as we got off the tram.
The breakfast was a lousy one muffin and coffee. The orange juice was so bitter that we couldnt take more than one sip... I wud recommend the hotel only for its price and walking distance from the parks.
the price and location of the hotel is what brought me back...
the refrigerator wasn't plugged in and cold
The lady at the front desk was very helpful. Gave me some great tips on getting around. It was also close to Disneyland which is jusy what I wanted.
My shower didn't work (the taps were stuck on the bath) and I was too exhausted after my time at Disneyland to bother calling anyone about it.
The location was great as we could walk to Disneyland. Which was wonderful. That was all that was redeeming in the case of this hotel.
Pretty much everything. The hotel is rundown, dirty and the parking is atrocious. There are not enough spaces vs. rooms and they are very tight. Built for compact cars at best.
Not the Ritz but for the money, veyy good value. Front desk staff was exceptional friendly and helpful.
Beds were a little bit too hard. Time for replacements
Location close to Disneyland
That they did not have my reservation......!!!!!! That was the most upsetting....... but they did give my a room but also heart failure. That they charge for ice.....that they use powdered tang for juice, why bother?
There was never enough parking and the neighborhood wasn't the best. I guess you get what you pay for. I would never stay there again!
roadway inn backs up to the disneyland parking lot. It says "employees only parking" but go ahead and walk right in and hop on a tram to disneyland. takes 10min to get from room to disneyland.
what do you expect? Its 45 bucks a night.
The location was good, since it was very close to Disneyland. For one night stay, it's a cheap place to sleep. Not much else.
The motel was in need of a facelift: the bathroom had aged tile work still in it, the semi-rusted shower nozzle misted you down as opposed to an actual shower, the door hinges on the bathroom were rusted over so bad that some of the rust had been smeared onto the door (at first, it looked like something else). The non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke, the combo air-conditioning/heating unit was missing buttons & the protective screen in front of the air filter, the carpet was vacuumed but in major need of replacement, and the furniture fixtures were showing significant wear. There were several tow trailers parked in spaces for guests, and they weren't moved since we arrived.
the very resonable price.
The Beds felt like you were sleeping on wood the place was very dirty. some unknown source was on the bathroom door. When I researched the place I thought I was be located next to the entrance of disney land instead it was the exit very deceiving.
The desk attendant was kind and helpful. Location was prime, access was easy, parking was plentiful.
Shabby, worn, unattractive room. Lights did not work, rooms was right above the lobby and very noisy.
